Hi, Lovely!

I know you want to be the best admin you can possibly be, whether that’s being ultra-organized or sharing your ideas with the leadership team. I know the role of an admin can sometimes be frustrating especially when you do not have a manager or mentor that understands your role. It can be so rewarding one day and lonely and frustrating the next.

The Officials is a platform for admins and assistants to come together to chat, learn and grow.

So who am I? Just think of me as your office bestie. Think of me as the trusted colleague who will roll my desk chair up to yours and share my lunch when you can’t get away from your desk. I share my best tips, my documents and my templates.

Things I love

  • I love calling all dogs puppies
  • Eating croissants slathered in Nutella
  • Reading fantasy books with maps in the front of them
  • Helping others through incessant problem solving

Yes, I’m a natural problem-solver, which is why I love being assistant and it’s what draws me to help other admins and assistants in the world.

All admins and assistants deserve quality training that is easily accessible and affordable.

Power in numbers

I fell into being an admin. I had married my Brit husband (who I met on MySpace!) and left my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA and flew all the way to London. My resume wasn’t translating well so I started temping. I fell in love with being an admin! For the first eight years of my career, I was always the only admin in the company. After that I was always the senior admin so anyone I worked with I mentored and guided. However, those eight years were frustrating and lonely at times. I had no one that knew what it was like to be in my role to help guide me. When I went searching for help and resources I only found expensive conferences and training courses that I was able to attend as I had no training budget.

At some point in my career, my little family relocated from London to New York City. I had a new exciting role in the city but all of my trusted suppliers, venues and contacts were back in London and I had to build that list from scratch. I knew the key was speaking with other assistants and admins. Each of us have our own unique knowledge to bring to the table and I was ready to eat it all up. I struggled to find an active online community of passion admins and assistants. So I built it and The Officials was born. I was in a fabulous job and I was totally enthralled with The Officials. That was an incredible year as I also won an OfficeNinjas All-Star Award.

The Universe is listening

The Officials Community was a great success and helpful to so many admins and assistants out there. I was pregnant with our second child when we decided to move back to London. I knew I wanted to add even more value to the community. The universe must have been listening because I suddenly found myself inundated with completely unsolicited mentorship requests. It is stitched into the very fabric of my being to help others but there were so many requests and I wanted to find a way to help them all. I created The Officials Mentorship Program to help admins and assistants that needed additional guidance in their training and careers.

Training for all

The Mentorship Program was a huge success and I found that many mentees had very similar questions. It was clear they were hungry for knowledge and I decided to expand on each of those topics by turning them into courses and The Official HQ Platform was born. The Officials HQ is a membership platform for admins and assistants that empowers them through community, courses and coaching.

While building the membership platform I wanted to focus on quality, accessibility and affordability. I do not want a single admin or assistant out there to ever feel they are alone and under appreciated.

Our members, lovingly referred to as Officials, are ready to welcome you with open arms and share advice, cheer you on and listen.

New courses released monthly to sharpen your skills. Each courses is stuffed full of coursebooks, videos and downloadables to help you be the best admin you can be.

The Officials Mentorship Program is available to HQ members who would benefit from live training with me.

I do not want a single admin or assistant to ever feel alone or under appreciated

But before we get to it – a few things about me. I love music, I love cooking and I love spa days. I’d be lost without my phone, it’s like my mini-assistant, and allows me to be agile about when and where I work. I love walking in the park with my family (dog-spotting) and if you give me strong tea, The Good Place on Netflix and a large bar of Dairy Milk chocolate I will be happy for hours.

Over the past ten years I’ve moved myself, my family and our belongings and major companies around the biggest cities on earth. I’ve worked in IT, in Media and other industries. I’ve organised people’s whole lives for them from morning to night, day in day out and whether they’re my two-year old daughter or a high-net worth individual I want to take care of their needs in the most enjoyable and stress-free way I can. I’m now an expert in my industry and I want to help you in the most affordable way possible. My reviews are there for all to see! (although my daughter’s are sometimes mixed…)

I started off as working in colleges in the US before meeting my husband online and moving to London at 25 to start a new life as a marketing manager. Six successful years later I was in New York City at a fantastic start-up on Madison Ave as Office Manager where I won a nationwide award to become an Office Ninja All Star 2016 before relocation (again!) took me back to London where I’ve been working an Executive Assistant to some incredibly interesting people who are at the top of their respective fields.

Before I was an admin, I worked for years in higher education and studied Instructional Design. I’ve always had a great passion for education. I started my career teaching as graphic design software at an art’s college online and found the medium perfect for busy professional. You didn’t need to worry about the commute,
